Paul Whitney

Paul Whitney was born in Utah. He suffers from epilepsy and schizophrenia, which often leaves him misunderstood due to the impact of the illness on his memory and communication. He still strives to do his best in anything he does despite his limitations. He has always tried to be humble and grateful for what he has. This has led to his ability for persevere and of not giving in spite hardship. Paul is a amazing person who has learned to not be defined by his limitations which provided success in achieving a Bachelor Degree in Communication and completing a Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

On his mission he found joy in sharing the gospel with others. Being a missionary for the Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints instilled a desire in him wanting to know more of Jesus and his works. Being an advert reader of the scriptures, his love of Christ grew. This latter led to Paul being inspired and create several drawings and paintings of the Church of Jesus Christ’s temples found throughout the world.

Paul wanted to share his recent work of “Christ and Children Playing” with the message it brings of joy and love to everyone. He feels that the portraits express Christ's childlike unconditional unrestrained love he has for each of us. Paul’s hope is that they can be enjoyed by people of all ages and faiths.

Paul used oils and pencils to create his authentic and expressive portraits of Christ and Children from different backgrounds and cultures. He wanted to convey the message of God’s love, compassion, and diversity through his art. He also added elements of humor, whimsy, and fantasy to his paintings, such as children interacting and playing with Christ. Paul created these paintings from the point of view of a child expressing their joy and love of Christ.

Paul is most notably recognizable by his paintings of temples. His work is sought after by private art collectors and enthusiasts. He also has participated in several art shows and workshops, where he shared his story and inspired others with his art. Paul also has donated some of his paintings to others, as a way of spreading God’s love and blessing.

Paul Whitney is still creating portraits as an artist and continues to create beautiful and meaningful artworks that touch the hearts of many people. He is also a devoted husband active in his church and community. He is considered a role model and a blessing by many people who know love him and his art.
